World Concert Day launched as a day for live music concerts but in 2020 and 2021 the Covid Pandemic changed this. With most public concerts and tours cancelled, World Concert Day became an online event. This year in 2021 many public concerts planned to take place on 26th April, World Concert Day, for example BTS, Harry Styles, Celine Dion, Jeff Beck, Nick Mason, Bryan Adams, The Liverpool Philharmonic and others were cancelled due to the crisis. We wait to see what will happen in 2022 and invite all artists, producers and promoters reading this to join the event, show solidarity and stream online on 26 April. Contact us for details and join us on social media.
The main official headline causes in 2021 were The UN´s COVID Solidarity Response and UNICEF The United Nations Childrens Fund, and artists, producers, fans and charities also raised funds and awareness for many other charities, projects and causes. See more about these causes and the artists at the World Concert Day website.
